FMC KEFFI OBSERVES PERI-OPERATIVE NURSE'S DAY

The peri-operative Nurses federal medical center keffi, join their colleagues nationwidewide to observe the national day for the peri-operative Nurses.

The 7 days event which began on Monday 8th November will run through to Friday the 14th November.

Speaking to nursingdetails the chairman National Association of Peri-operative Nurses, (NAPON) Nurse Comrade Charles Ilegbameh said this years event is been observed low-key due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He however said the association was able to lend a helping hand to patients on admission in the wards of the hospital by providing some of their consumables.

The week long event he said, will be climax with a lecture on Friday, themed " Emerging Technology and Perioperative Nursing in Nigeria, Implication For Nursing Practice"

He called on members of the association, Nurses as a whole and the entire members of the hospital, medical and non medical professionals to be in attendance for the lecture, stressing however that COVID-19 protocol will be observed.

The Federal Medical Center Keffi today unveiled the new Standard Operating Procedure and Drug Policy for the hospital. The Plateau state chapter of the University Graduates of Nursing Science Association (UGONSA) at its meeting held today in Jos, the Plateau state capital, decried the maltreatment of Graduates of Nursing Science working in state owned hospitals and tertiary institutions.
