2020 Year of the Nurse: NANNM Plateau state makes key demands from Federal, state Govt and Nurses.

The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) , Plateau state chapter has called on federal, and state government to urgently look into keep areas affecting Nursing and the health industry in the state and country as a whole. Speaking at the public lecture to mark the year of the Nurse, the NANNM chairman Plateau state Comrade Nurse Briskila Dabit, made key demands which government must put in place to facilitate uptimum service delivery to those in need. 2020 THE YEAR OF THE NURSE. PLATEAU NURSES AND MIDWIVES CELEBRATES INT’L YEAR, CALLS FOR EMPLOYMENT OF MORE Nurses, DONATE ITEMS TO ORPHANAGE HOME.

Plateau Nurses and Midwives under the auspice of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Plateau State Chapter has appealed to the Government of Plateau State to employ more Nurses in the State in order to attend to the health needs of the State. The appeal was made at the celebration of the International Day of Nurse and Midwife set aside by the World Health Assembly. State Chairman of NANNM, Cmr. Briskila D. Dabit stated this at a Press Conference of the Association. She applauded Nurses and Midwives for remaining resolute in the discharge of their duties in the face of the ravaging COVID-19 Pandemic which has adversely affected the globe. She hinted that the United Nations emphasized that Nurses and Midwives are the backbone of health system. The Nigerian Association of Peri-operative Nurses (NAPON) Federal medical center keffi chapter rounded up it's week long event to commemorate this year's week of the association by organizing a lecture for it's members and the entire hospital community. Handling Stress As A Critical Care Nurse

Due to the extremely methodological environment of the ICU, there is a chance that our critical care nurses will experience a post-traumatic disorder. This notion makes it essential for our critical care nurses to develop awareness on handling the stress. The stress and hassle is an inevitable factor of the daily life of our Critical Care Nurse. Most CCN finds it difficult to cope up with the stressful nature of the critical care unit. This is caused by the varying level of stress. FMC KEFFI OBSERVES PERI-OPERATIVE NURSE'S DAY

The peri-operative Nurses federal medical center keffi, join their colleagues nationwidewide to observe the national day for the peri-operative Nurses. The 7 days event which began on Monday 8th November will run through to Friday the 14th November. Speaking to nursingdetails the chairman National Association of Peri-operative Nurses, (NAPON) Nurse Comrade Charles Ilegbameh said this years event is been observed low-key due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He however said the association was able to lend a helping hand to patients on admission in the wards of the hospital by providing some of their consumables. National Pension Commission Launches Retirement Savings Account (RSA) Transfer System

The National Pension Commission (the Commission) wishes to inform all stakeholders and the general public, especially Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders under the Contributory Pension Scheme, that the commission has concluded arrangements for the take-off of RSA Transfers. Accordingly, RSA holders may transfer their accounts from one Pension Fund Administrate (PFA) to another once in a year, in line with Section 13 of the Pension Reform Act 2014. The launch date for the RSA Transfer System is scheduled for Monday 16 November, 2020. This will signify the official opening of the RSA Transfer Window. Prior to this launch, the Commission had successfully developed the RSA Transfer Application, a robust electronic platform that would enable seamless RSA transfers. In addition, the Commission had conducted extensive workshops for licensed Pension Operators and State Pension Bureaus in readiness for this epoch-making event.
